About Clostridium difficile

• About Clostridium difficile Responsible for more commonly encountered cases of antibiotic-associated colitis (AAC) and antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD). ¹
• Because C. difficile is a spore-forming organism, it can readily persist and spread throughout the hospital environment. Intestinal carriage rates may be as high as 20% in hospital patients. ²
