Featured Products

TOX A/B QUIK CHEK™

The TOX A/B QUIK CHEK™ test is a rapid immunoassay to detect Clostridium difficile toxins A and B in fecal specimens. The test uses antibodies specific for toxins A and B of C. difficile and yields >90% sensitivity and >99% specificity compared to tissue culture. Because the test detects both toxin A and toxin B, the risk of false negative results due to A-/B+ strains is greatly reduced.

Novel patent-pending technology allows the sample to be put into the device rather than being left exposed and smoothly disperses sample on the flow membrane, thereby reducing unwanted spillovers. Plus, the larger sample well makes placement of samples directly into the device easier, faster, and cleaner.

Features of the TOX A/B QUIK CHEK™:

  • Detects both A and B strains
  • Results in 30 minutes
  • Internal control line validates QC result in same reaction window

C. Difficile Tox A/B II™

The C. Difficile Tox A/B II™ is a second-generation rapid ELISA for the detection of Clostridium difficile toxins A and B in fecal specimens. The test utilizes highly specific antibodies and produces highly sensitive results detecting not only the more common toxin A+ samples, but also samples that are toxin A-/B+. It's easy to perform, produces no indeterminates and provides results in one hour or less. The relative sensitivity and specificity of the test are 92.2% and 100%, respectively, when compared to tissue culture.

Features of the C. Difficile Tox A/B II™:

  • Detects both A+ and A-/B+ strains
  • Assay is performed within 30 minutes
  • No gray zone eliminates equivocal results
  • Excellent correlation to tissue culture
  • Results can be interpreted using manual or automated methods

C. Difficile Tox A/B II™ with Fecal-Quik-Prep™

The C. Difficile Tox A/B II™ test is also available with Inverness Medical Professional Diagnostics's exclusive Fecal-Quik-Prep™ device which greatly reduces the hands-on time required to prepare stool specimens for Tox A/B II testing. The Fecal-Quik-Prep™ device is a unique sample preparation/transfer device that greatly reduces the amount of hands-on time required to prepare samples for Tox A/B testing by eliminating the need to centrifuge samples when using automated readers, washers and microtiter plate processing systems. Designed exclusively for use with Inverness Medical Professional Diagnostics's C. Difficile Tox A/B II™ test, Fecal-Quik-Prep™ helps maintain sample integrity by stabilizing the sample with diluent much faster than conventional preparation methods.

C. DIFF CHEK™

C. DIFF CHEK™-30 is a rapid ELISA test for Clostridium difficile antigen that provides 100% negative predictive value and 99% sensitivity. That means the laboratory can quickly, easily and cost-effectively screen out C. difficile negatives - which can represent up to 80% of samples - before culturing for the organism - and be sure that no positives will be missed.

C. DIFF CHEK™-30 can also be used to screen before cytotoxicity testing providing savings in both technician time and disposables. Either way, labs only test a small number of positive antigen samples.
