AtheNA Multi-Lyte^® EBV Test Systems

Inverness Medical Professional Diagnostics offers two microparticle-based Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) immunoassays for use with the AtheNA Multi-Lyte® System. The AtheNA Multi-Lyte® EBV VCA IgM Test System, which is intended for the qualitative detection of IgM class antibody to EBV viral capsid antigen (VCA), and the Athena Multi-Lyte® EBV IgG Test System, which is intended for the qualitative detection of IgG class antibody to three separate EBV antigens: EBV-VCA gp-125, total EBV early antigens (EBV-EA) and recombinant EBV nuclear antigen-1 (EBNA-1). The test systems are intended to be used to aid laboratory diagnosis of EBV-associated infectious mononucleosis and to provide epidemiological information on the diseases caused by EBV.
